Sampson has been a proud member of the Panasonic Foundation Network of New Jersey Superintendents since 2009, was recognized by the College Board for outstanding leadership for the Middle States Region, was one of three superintendents selected by the Governor to serve on the Common Core Standards Review Committee and was honored by the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce with the Chairman’s Award for contributions to the Monmouth County Community. Sampson was selected as one of 100 Future-Ready Superintendents by the Department of Educational Technology in 2014 and had the opportunity to represent the FRHSD at the White House. Sampson also serves as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, where he instructs classes on change leadership, supervision, and ethical decision-making. Sampson served as the President of the Garden State Coalition of Schools, a network of approximately 100 high-performing New Jersey school districts dedicated to quality education for all. Sampson has worked in a variety of administrative capacities, including the positions of Social Studies Supervisor, K-12, Assistant Principal for curricular initiatives, scheduling and facilities oversight, High School Principal, and Superintendent. Sampson spent the majority of his career in Essex County, New Jersey, beginning as a social studies instructor at Livingston High School. ![]() Sampson’s guidance, the Freehold Regional High School District was named one of “America’s Best-in-State Employers” in New Jersey by Forbes magazine.ĭr. Sampson oversees all school-related matters regarding curriculum and instruction, personnel, staff training, facilities planning, and budget development. Sampson served as Superintendent of the Verona Public Schools. ![]() Sampson began his tenure as Superintendent of the Freehold Regional High School District on June 6, 2011.
